The Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of the firm’s client, vacating his drug-conspiracy conviction. The Court concluded that there was not enough evidence to render a “buyer-seller” instruction unnecessary, which necessitated a new trial with a properly instructed jury.
Justin Dreikosen, Vanessa Eisenmann, and Michelle Jacobs represented the defendant on appeal, and Dreikosen presented oral argument. The firm now has 19 criminal-defense victories in the Seventh Circuit since opening in 2013.
