Upon the conclusion of a three-day bench trial, U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman issued a judgment of acquittal for the firm’s client, who was charged in 2016 with 12 counts of stealing trade secrets from his former employer, in violation of 18 U.S.C. 1832(a).
The case was tried by Michelle Jacobs and Steven Biskupic, who argued, among other things, that the government had failed to prove the intent elements of the crime.
