In another win before the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the firm secured a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. sec. 2254 for its client, who had been convicted in state court of a 2006 Milwaukee homicide.  The Court agreed with the firm that the client’s Sixth Amendment confrontation rights had been violated at trial, and ordered that the case be retried or dismissed.

Michelle Jacobs and Vanessa Eisenmann briefed the appeal, and Eisenmann presented oral argument in January.
